Recent Volcano Observatory Activity Reports
- HVO Kilauea ORANGE/WATCH - Episode 17 began last night and continues with low lava fountaining feeding a growing lava flow on the floor of Halema'uma'u crater.
- AVO Great Sitkin ORANGE/WATCH - Slow eruption of lava within the summit crater continues, accompanied by occasional small earthquakes.
- AVO Spurr YELLOW/ADVISORY - Unrest persists at Mount Spurr. Seismicity remains elevated.
- CALVO GREEN/NORMAL - CA volcanoes were at normal background levels of seismicity and deformation during the past week.
- HVO Kilauea ORANGE/WATCH - Episode 17 of the ongoing Halemaʻumaʻu eruption began at 10:15 p.m. HST on April 7, 2025 with the start of lava overflowing from the south vent.
